Members of the Altar Guild are entrusted with the privilege of preparing the worship space for the gathering of God’s family.
Those of us who are part of this ministry are concerned with all the things of worship, the goal of which is to keep the worship space beautiful and in good order, both to glorify God and to provide a setting that enables the congregation to worship in a meaningful way.
The Altar Guild meet every week to prepare for communion by making the bread, arranging the flowers, ensuring that the candles are filled and that the altar linens are clean and in good condition.
As members of the altar guild, we are grateful servants: servants of God, servants of God’s people, servants of the liturgy, and servants of our worship space. Although we carry out this ministry with joy, we would welcome new members to increase our numbers and thereby share the privilege of this important ministry.
